MotoGP Event at Silverstone Circuit!

One of our projects this week included printing and assembling 5 pop up displays as well as 2 5.5m PVC banners for Silverstone for the 2015 MotoGP event over the weekend. 2 of the pop up displays were 3x3's which consists of 5 panels and 3 of them were 3x4's which consist of 6 panels. 65 metres of graphics were printed in total including 27 individual panels.

After printing towards the end of last week we got everything finished for Tuesday evening ready for fitting on Wednesday afternoon at the stadium.

Dibond signfitting at the Burton Enterprise Centre

One of our projects this week included Sign Fitting for one of our clients in Burton-upon-Trent at the Burton Enterprise Centre. The finished size was 1200x6000mm and was made up of 2 Aluminium Dibond sheets with blue gloss vinyl applied on top.

Moseley Brothers Sign Fitting

One of our jobs last week included Sign Fitting for one of our clients. Their company consists of Moseley Brothers and GF Laser. What a great achievement and the weather was definitely a bonus. We started by printing and cutting several Dibond signs, making 3 fit into frames. They all needed fitting roughly 6 metres up in the air meaning a Fork Lift and Scissor Lift were needed. Never the less it was quite a challenge as it needed full concentration. Well done Printdot!

Frizzenti Van Vinyl Wrap at Aintree Racecourse

 On Tuesday we headed up north to Aintree Racecourse where we had to fix part of the existing vinyl wrap on of our clients Citroen van, Frizzenti. Some of the vinyl had either peeled off or was badly scratched, therefore we stepped in and replaced it which was challenging due to the many grooves in the vans body.

The main areas were the bonnet and near the back wheel arch. It was a great achievement and also a pleasure to visit the famous Aintree Racecourse itself before the Grand National this weekend. The great weather was a bonus but was definitely needed for this type of job.

 

Printdot attends careers fair at North East Wolverhampton Academy

On Wednesday 18th March from 10am-3pm we set up a small stand at the N.E.W Academy careers fair in Wolverhampton. We displayed our new Printdot Sidewinder roller banner, a literature display with our brochures, material samples and several examples of past work showing what we can offer to our customers.

It was a great day overall and it was nice to tell the students about what we do and see if they were interested in doing design and sign making as a career choice. It was also interesting to see what other companies had to offer.

Also many thanks to our new Swedish student Gustav for attending and helping with the set up :)

Beacon Church sign fitted!

On Monday you saw the Beacon Church sign being completed in house and here it is all fitted 4m up in the air on the side of the church wall!

There were some great compliments too with some people thinking the dibond was directly printed onto instead of using vinyl application. Unfortunately we weren't able to fit the sign ourselves due to scaffolding towers being used but remember when it comes to sign making there is no job too big or small!

What a difference it has made compared to the old sign, and a great achievement by all of us.

Dibond Beacon Church sign complete!

This job consisted of using the vinyl application process. This 6m x 1.5m Dibond sign has had cut vinyl applied to it and will be installed this Wednesday 4m up in the air so watch this space!

This involved a lot of measuring, taping and use of the squeegee! All hard work paid off in the end

Printdot contributes to the Autosport International show at Birmingham NEC!

The completed stand! On 6th January 2015, Printdot supplied the Birmingham City University "BCU Racing" stand with PVC banners and vinyls for the tower, foamex boards and lighting for the walls, literature stands and vinyl laptop covers and also laid the carpet down.
